Lucent Caramel | 2021 Pumpkin of the Year

Lucent Caramel begins as a gather of molten glass, glowing at over 2,000 degrees. Shaped entirely by hand in a series of swift, skilled movements, the glass is trimmed, twisted, and formed into its final silhouette—making every piece one of a kind. A radiant blend of iridescent orange and golden tan is melted into the surface, capturing the warmth of caramel just off the stove and the glow of a golden pie crust fresh from the oven.

Its reeded body and glossy caramel candy stem are shaped using traditional Venetian tools. Though the form nods to autumn, Lucent Caramel evokes something richer—like spun sugar, baked amber, and the satisfying aroma of caramel. 

Whether styled for a seasonal centerpiece, gifted as a keepsake, or lit from within for a slow-roasted glow, this pumpkin brings warmth, charm, and handcrafted radiance to any space.

This limited-quantity art piece is made one at a time in our zero-waste studio in Cameron Park, CA. Designed with an open bottom—perfect for adding twinkle lights to enhance its golden depth and buttery brilliance.
